Message	also the trunk area for sound deadening. It did lower the interior noise somewhat but it wasn't "night and day" difference. Didn't really notice a difference in heat, but never had a noticable problem with it beforehand either. Not sure if there would be much benefit to putting it on the firewall. Can't remember the exact name of the material as I put it on several years ago, but if you're really interested email me and I can try and go back through my receipts to find out.
